This is a camp for kids with autism, ages 10-14. Traditional camp activities will be led by trained staff and will incorporate a variety of life skills in a fun learning environment. Monday - Thursday: The day will be split into 6 activities - sports & games, music & movement, mad science (fun experiments), arts & crafts, physical activity and cooking. Built into these activities will be ways kids can earn camp dollars to spend at the camp canteen at the end of each week. Fridays: Field trip day. Campers and staff will use Access Johnson County to visit area attractions that might include bowling, miniature golf and the Edinburgh Aquatic Center
Camp Vision: To empower individuals with autism to rise to their highest potential. Camp Mission: To provide a premier day camp experience for children with autism that will offer a unique opportunity to learn valuable life skills while having fun. Traditional camp activities will be led by trained and qualified staff. Activities will incorporate a variety of life skills in a safe and motivating learning environment. Camp Purpose: The purpose of Camp Can Do is to provide a summer program for children with autism, ages 10-14, that will help them grow and develop skills that will enable them to lead productive lives as adults.
